Lower School Lead Teacher – Fourth Grade Teacher

Keys School is seeking a Lower School Lead Teacher – Fourth Grade to join our Lower School community beginning August 2026.

Keys School (K–8, ~320 students) offers an inquiry-based education that supports students’ academic, social-emotional, and identity development. Our teachers create dynamic, student-centered learning environments that foster curiosity, empathy, agency, and belonging.

The Lower School Lead Teacher designs and delivers an integrated Grade 4 curriculum in language arts, math, social studies, and social-emotional learning, grounded in culturally responsive and identity-conscious practice. Reporting to the Head of Lower School, this educator collaborates closely with colleagues, specialists, and families to create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, reflective educator with:
– Experience teaching elementary students (K–4)
– A strong foundation in social-emotional learning and child development
– A commitment to identity-conscious teaching and inclusive community building
– Experience with interdisciplinary, project-based learning
– Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Preferred qualifications include:
– Master’s degree in education or a related field
– Five or more years of teaching experience
– Familiarity with Singapore Math, Responsive Classroom, and Understanding by Design (UbD)

Salary: $90,000+ (commensurate with experience)
Start date: August 13, 2026
