Our 4th graders wrapped up their Acorn Project by grinding their own acorns into flour, one of the final steps in a weeks-long learning journey. From foraging to leaching to grinding, students experienced each stage of this traditional process firsthand and gained a new appreciation for the knowledge, time, and labor behind Indigenous foodways
