Beaver Dams in Kindergarten!

Kindergarten scientists are hard at work! Building on their study of how birds design and construct nests, our K scientists turned their attention to another amazing animal engineer: the beaver! Today in Science, students explored how beavers build dams to shape their environment and meet their needs. Using natural materials and their own design ideas, they worked together to construct model dams and test their strength against flowing water.
