California Learnin’

May 27, 2025

In our 4th Grade Museum of California History, students brought history to life through a rich blend of art, writing, and technology. From empathetic photo analyses inspired by Dorothea Lange and Toyo Miyatake, to persuasive Gold Rush advertisements crafted with selfies and period imagery, and heartfelt historical fiction lettersheets written in cursive on stained paper, each piece reflects deep learning and creativity. Through this interdisciplinary journey, students explored California’s history and developed their storytelling and design skills. We are so proud to share their phenomenal work with families and fellow students!
