Calligraphy In Mandarin

Our 7th Grade Mandarin students took their character practice off the page and onto the brush!
Using traditional brush and ink, students practiced writing Mandarin characters while developing their understanding of stroke order, form, and balance. The experience invited students to slow down and pay close attention to each movement as they connected language learning with the artistic traditions of Chinese calligraphy.
