Inclusion Comics in Third Grade
October 19, 2026
Our third graders have been exploring what it means to build community through inclusivity, connection, and belonging. Together, they’ve been discussing ways to include others, from inviting classmates to play to checking in with someone who may feel left out. They’ve also been practicing self-advocacy by finding the words and courage to speak up when they want to join in.
In this lesson, students created Inclusivity Comics illustrating the words and actions that help everyone feel seen, welcomed, and included. Through storytelling, they’re learning that small, intentional actions can make a big difference in building a caring community.
