KCC Save the Bay!

This past Saturday, our Keys Community Cares volunteers partnered with Save The Bay to support local wetland restoration efforts. Together, they removed 235 pounds of invasive plant species; non-native plants that outcompete native vegetation, and disrupt critical habitats for wildlife.
By removing these invasives, we help restore balance to the ecosystem, giving native plants and animals the space they need to thrive while improving shoreline resilience and water quality. Efforts like these play an important role in protecting the health of our Bay!
