Keys MUN: SoCal Conference!

This past weekend, a Keys Model UN delegation atteded a conference in Southern California. Students were challenged by a variety of committee topics, including real-world scenarios (immigration debated as members of the U.S. Senate), historically significant periods (the Yalta Conference, the Silk Road, and the Nuremberg Trials), and crisis scenarios (press corps). We’ve seen students grow in their research, public-speaking, and writing skills in preparation for these scenarios. The trip also offered time to bond as a MUN club through collective care of our accommodation— making dinner and tidying up, bonding at a beach bonfire, and celebrating a job well done at the conclusion of the conference. Kudos to Ari Talcott on his Research Award, in competition with high school students!
