Tiny House Projects In Full Swing!

Our 8th graders have begun their Tiny House Projects!
Students are designing and building tiny homes that respond to the needs of a community and the conditions of a specific location. Their designs take into account community values, environmental goals, and local resources, including temperature, day length, solar noon, and precipitation.
As they develop their layouts and architecture, students are also exploring how choices around ventilation, house shape, orientation, room placement, and thermal mass can affect a home’s comfort, efficiency, and relationship to its environment.
